Mobile Learners: Wellness
GenCorEnergy - An Interactive Approach to Employee Wellness
Employee wellness programs are created with good intentions, however they often run the risk of being overly prescriptive and can even lead to legal risks for employers. The approach taken for the fictional company, GenCor, was to create a three-part self-paced learning intervention that placed goal setting at its core to support progress toward personal goals. The program name was finalized as GenCorEnergy. This voluntary employee wellness program used the Canvas LMS to create a mobile-first learning environment that supported self-paced work, peer collaboration, and easy feedback and follow-up from program administrators. While voluntary, points assigned to project milestones positively rewarded efforts made by individual learners.
